Welcome :)

Hello and welcome to my humble blog:)

My name is Daniela and I’m a 17 year old schoolgirl living in Zagreb, Croatia. Besides being a typical high school student, I have a passion for animals, movies, music and good food (only eating – I cant cook to save my life). In my short spare time I have between after school activities and studying, i can usually be found out with my friends or being bitten by our evil black pet cat.

I enjoy reading, Christmas time and going to the movies – its almost like therapy to me – and usually find it very difficult to introduce myself. Well, that’s pretty much the basic information about me in a nutshell.

About the scholarship

The scholarship, which I am currently in the running for, is valued at £3,490 and will be awarded to one student in Croatia, enabling him to attend the Oxbridge Preparation Program organized by CATS College.

The three-week program is designed for international students from 15-16 years of age who in the future have the intention of attending some of the UK’s top universities, such as Oxford and Cambridge. The undergraduate attending the course will not only receive valuable information about the entry requirements, but will also be able to acquire and improve a variety of communication and thinking skills necessary for their further education.

Furthermore, the course will give the attendant a chance to meet and learn from the admission tutors and graduates, help them decide on which degree they wish on pursuing  and which A levels to take, as well as work on their interview giving skills and, in general, help guide them towards their goal of being accepted at their university of choice.

As you can see, it’s the ideal program for pupils who dream of enrolling in the UK’s most renowned universities, which makes this scholarship a once-in-a-life-time opportunity  for foreign students to be prepared by people who are top experts in their field and find out valuable information about the British school system…and, all that while socializing and improving their English skills with other like-minded people and native speakers. For an ambitious geek like me – it doesn’t get any better than that:)

For anybody who is further interested in the program, the link below will lead you to the program's official page where you will be able to find loads of useful information and details regarding the program itself, including a sample timetable and student testimonials...feel free to ask if you have any questions :)
